I'm always 'dabbling' in something and trying to be 'crafty' around the house.(hey...it saves money) I already had this plain (and boring) lampshade, so I decided to spruce it up a bit with some 'not so fancy' needlework. Actually, it fit my decor style perfectly.
Here's another shade I picked up at a thrift store for fifty cents...its a great 'shade' of green. I added the buttons and twigs to make the snowmen. Had to change it out this week due to springtime arriving.
I made several of these oil lamps a couple of years ago. There is oil in there with the potpourri. And they work well. I've had to use them several times during power outages. I'm thinking about using them now, while the economy is bad...seriously. I pray for anyone who has lost their job, their insurance, their retirement, their homes, their health...or even, a loved one.
